Flamenco Guitar and Classical Guitar Player, Angel is an Irish guitarist with a strong Spanish link, he started his career in Music at the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City and later at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Musica in Madrid (Spanish composers for guitar) and finished his studies of Renaissance and Baroque music (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish) and specialized in French and Spanish styles at the "Ecole Superior de Musique et Art Dramatique, Schuola Cantorum de Paris" in Paris and graduate with First honors. Amongst many other achievements Angel has been five times awarded the prize of Arts in Mexico by the National Council for the Culture and the Arts.

Winner of the International Competition at the Rakmaninoff Conservatory in Paris he was invited by The Trinity College in Cambridge to play for the Heitor Villa-Lobos hundredth anniversary celebration. He has been guest both teaching and performing of Music Festivals in several countries in Europe as well as in the Orient, in China and the US.

Angel is a true professional performer of Flamenco guitar and of Classical guitar. His interpretations of Spanish music makes him the favourite of lovers of Spanish culture. Flamenco is in his veins, gypsies and "payos" had given him the knowledge and the passion of this striking music. His performances at art exhibitions and in Festivals all over the Country such as the Munster Poetry Festival, The Cervantes Institute, the Poetry Now Festival, Ennis, Mayo, Galway, the Dingle Arts Festival, the West Cork Arts Festival, Wexford, Slaigo, Donegal, Derry, Ballymena, Belfast, the London International Guitar Festival, opening artist at the 70th anniversary of Jose Romanillos in Siguenza in Spain at the Dublin Guitar Week and in Trinity College Dublin have had a great impact on the public and on the artistic community in Ireland (as it has in Europe). And last year opened the Waltons Guitar Festival of Ireland which has had as main artist: John Williams. Angel was also invited last year to the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in China where he gave concert and master classes for 8 days lessons@angelguitar.net and in Beijing at the Hart Concert Hall recording his recital for his new DVD "ANGEL: LIVE FROM BEIJING" and also TV appearances at the Chinese National TV (CCTV). The Festival of World Cultures again this year 2008.

Angel's six classical CDs recorded in London and produced by a German Label have also received a great acclaim from audiences and press all over the world with outstanding reviews in specialist magazines, (check up the web for details reviews). All this gained him the honor of playing twice for the President of the Republic of Ireland Mrs. Mary McAleese and for several other personalities from the intellectual life of this country such as Seamus Heaney and Patrick Galvin.
